What's the general opinion on this army? Is it any good? How is the army best bought?

Note I am just asking as a gamer, I'm not going to make them. Thanks!

I like the Catalan ally to go along with 3 BGs of knights. The Drilled Byzantine cavalry are a bit dodgy but might provide some useful maneuver on the flanks if kept away from anything dangerous. Take some LF xbows to put in fron the kngihts and I like some MF xbows to cover (and often die) on one flank.

Awesome army.

colourful history
playability (as good as knight armies get)
lots of options
and "lord geoffrey's fancy" by Alfred Duggan
lots of variety through various ally options

They do well on the table as well.

Heaps of great figures for them.
Mirliton and Legio Heroica

from a modelling perspective you can incorporate heraldry from all over christian europe

Romanian frank (in DBx) = Latin Greek in (Fog)
Otherwise known as 4th Crusade (and the following period of occupation)

I am not sure if I think the Latin Greece is as good as it gets for Knight armies, personally the Spanish Knight and the Catalan company armies are better. Though the Latin Greece has one interesting option;
4xTC
52x LF poor bw
20x KN superior, hvy armoured lance
equals approximately 800pts.

Maybe not necessarily THE best, but up there. Compared to the other lists:

Plenty of Knights (unlike the Company)
Drilled almughavars (unlike many spanish lists)
bow armed LH - better than the spanish equivalents
the greek cav are also interesting, albeit difficult to use well.

I am taking Latin Greeks to the Worlds in Wellington. Unfortunately however, for all the talk of good and bad armies, who is in the driving chair is probably the most significant factor. Anyway I will try and remember to take pics fior a writeup.
