Hope I'm not stealing anybody's thunder but here is the list of available options for Campaign. Then there's a vote (some democratic process instituted by people like Nik who believe people have a choice) and then we are told what we can enter. As Dave Ruddock is King of our team he will decide what I can play. He already decided what I can vote for.

Here's the choice for those of you who believe in such things

The coming of the Sea Peoples 1250 -1175 BC

Hittite Empire- Swifter than Eagles
Mycenaean- Swifter than Eagles
Mitanni- Swifter than Eagles
Sea Peoples- Swifter than Eagles
NKE- Swifter than Eagles
Early Libyan- Swifter than Eagles

Mark Anthony 54 BC - 30 BC

Later Republican Roman- Rise of Rome
Gallic- Rise of Rome
Ptolemaic- Rise of Rome
Parthian- Rise of Rome
Later Jewish- Rise of Rome
Early Armenian- Rise of Rome

The Campaign Of Chalons 451 AD

Foederate Roman- Legions Triumphant
Western Huns- Legions Triumphant
Early Franks- Legions Triumphant
Early Visigoths- Legions Triumphant
Early Alans- Legions Triumphant
Gepids- Legions Triumphant
Early Ostrogoths- Legions Triumphant

Nikephoros Ouranos 980-1010 AD
Early Bulgar- Decline and Fall
Fatmids- Swords and Scimitars
Georgians- Swords and Scimitars
Nikephorian Byzantine- Decline and Fall
Bedouin Dynasties- Decline and Fall
Arabs

Campaigns of Alexander Nevsky 1236 – 1263

Post-Viking Scandinavian (Sweden)- Oath of Fealty
Early Russian- Oath of Fealty
Early Teutonic Knights- Oath of Fealty
Golden Horde (Mongol Invasion)- Oath of Fealty
Feudal Polish- Oath of Fealty

Campaigns of Jonas Hunyadi 1439-1456

Later Hungarian- Eternal Empire

Albanian- Eternal Empire
Wallachian/Moldavian- Eternal Empire
Later Polish- Eternal Empire
Serbian- Eternal Empire

The date now appears to be 9-10 Jul 2011

I never voted for any of these. (see above)
IMO
The Sea peoples looks interesting having more than 1 viable army.
Mark Anthony will be a catafract fest.
And Nevsky is Mongol Horde.

Good job there's a pike army to take to the cataphract fest and a contact cavalry army to take out the Mongol horde. But yes, I fear you may be correct.

Agree that the Sea Peoples looks a good mix.

Looking at accommodation for MKS Campaign on the weekend of July 9/10, something belatedly occured to me.

Dates you might want to avoid when planning a weekend event in Milton Keynes.

Number One: The British Grand Prix at Silverstone, 15 miles away.

.. this could be tricky ..

"4. An ally may only be selected if it appears in the list of armies for the period."

So no Numidians. However, Later Jews (Go Herod!!) and Early Armenians ~are~ in the list and either can be taken as allies for the Late Republican Romans. Just sayin'

Did you mean trying to take the Numidians David?

I'm glad Kevin Johnson told me I couldn't as I was facing him next week with them before submitting the list.

The first competition round starts at 9.00 each day. That's the same time that Campaign opens to the public, so you'll need to show up a bit earlier than the punters. It's a roped off area in Middleton Hall, which is at the north end of thecentre:mk

Last year, getting into thecentre:mk at all before 9am was problematical. The opening hours are 9am on Saturday, 11am on Sunday. You have to find the right entrance, otherwise the security guard just waves at you, cheerily.

Does anybody know which is the right door?

If the rules are followed then it should be MAWS,WARLORDS,and Hampshire in DIV 2 as they didn't play last year.
Can't help with the door ,I'll know it when I drive past it
Don't forget to use the free parking areas, its very expensive by the shops
