Hi, fairly new to FoG here..
Bought the game early dec but haven't played much (couple of times vs AI).
I did read the manual but i can't find anything about double moves and searching for double moves showed me tons of posts that included "move".
Do double move mean that you get the double amount of movement points?

as long as the double move candidate BG is under one of your commander's control, and is not too close to any enemy BG, yes. otherwise, only simple moves are allowed.

Thank you for your answer.
Does that mean that it speeds up movement/manouvering before battle. And possibly helps wide flankers?

To expand a little on cothyso's answer, double-moves have two pre-requisites:
1. The unit has to be in command (i.e. within the command radius of a friendly leader)
2. It can't move closer than 5 hexes to an enemy unit.
It's mainly used to get the troops into combat faster (fewer turns just marching forward), and to redeploy reserve-troops behind he battle-line.
The reason that you can't find it in the manual, is because it's not actually in the manual.
It's a feature that was introduced in one of the patches, and it (like so many other things) never got documented.
Go figure.

Alright, now i get it.
At first when i saw double moves in challenges i didn't see a reason to use it. But in case i issue more challenges i think i will click that. It adds some extra depth. Atleast i think it does. lol
Thank you for answering both of you.
