When you start up the game, does it tell you that you're playing the Beta version, in a little dialogue box with the version number?

No has V1,4,4 on start up

I'm afraid you needed to install an update, as mentioned in this thread. Hopefully there'll be another tournament soon though -- either another beta tournament, or the real thing that everyone can participate in
