SAS Shooting arrows and Attacking...

It's possible it just me, but I find with SAS, I do shoot arrows when I want the piece to attack.
I think the mouse operation for shooting should be move over to the right key, not the left, as it is so disappointing to find you just peppered the intended enemy piece, when you wanted to attack it.
Any opinions?

Personally, I don't find it a problem, but I can see how it could happen in the heat of the moment.
I don't think that right-clicking would be helpful though, since that's already linked to turning and evasion-settings.
Maybe a Ctrl-Leftclick, sorta like the HPS Panzer Campaigns system.
Though having said that, there are plenty of other things I'd like to see improved first.
The interface is somewhere on page 6....

I sometimes do this to but usually meant to shoot not charge:)
Like CheerfullyInsane id rather live with this occasionally happening then have additional mouse clicks to work with I find it annoying that it now it takes 2 steps to change facing with units that can evade .
Perhaps even worse (and happens much more often with double moves) is when the stupid path finding arrow is not in sync with where you point the unit to move to... ie your mouse pointer is on a hex, you click to move there but then the bg moves there and then moves one hex backwards just because the pathfinding arrow snaked back on itself... grrrrr

When you put your cursor over your target check to see if there is a sword or a target appearing there. If it shows a sword icon you will charge them, if it shows a target you will shoot them. Move the cursor slightly to bring up one or the other. Like Grey I find myself usually charging when I wanted to shoot

You do know there's a hot-key for turning units in 1.4.4, right?

I can only use one hand for playing games, which must be on the mouse. (other hand is holding my drink) No hot keys for me.

"." and "," turns clock- and counterclockwise respectively, and "Enter" set the new direction.
Or you can do what I do, use either "," or "." to start the rotation (works much like right-clicking used to do), and use the mouse to choose the new direction.
I'd still like to be able to redefine my own hot-keys but......
Full (updated AFAIK) hot-key list here:

Thank you.
How very interesting; I never knew that stuff was there. I will start to play with it, just to see what new things I come up with.
