Hi,

I was under the impression that POA 0 was a 4+ to hit.

I had 1 disordered MI Gaul against 1 HI Very disordered Roman Legionary, and the game reported POA 0 for the Gaul but only gave 1 hit on a roll of 4,4,6.

I've got the screeny i'd post if i knew how. Am I missing something.

I cant think of anything that would have reduced your chance to score a hit... maybe post in the tech help area as that seems like a bug

You can "post" the screen shot by uploading it to another site than can host pictures and then link to it from here. See viewtopic.php?t=5426 for more detailed instructions (written for posting photos of figures but the same procedure works for the screen shot once you've saved it to a file).

Are you sure it was a POA of 0? perhaps you misread something. 4's should have hit.

Something else to consider.

Even if the POA for the Gaul says 0, if the Roman POA says +1, the net modifier goes against the Gaul.
Or in other words, they're at -1 POA, thus only hitting on 5,6.

Hard to tell without a screenie.

Does that not mean you had a net -2?

I dont know. If my net poa is -ve why not state it in the console.

I think it shows what your poas are and what the opponent has but doesn't show the overall on that screen. There is a screen that shows the net poas, with a sword or such showing, but no details...but i forget how to get that.

I looked through 'help' but it wasn't any help.

hopefully someone will know. looks like misinformation to me at the moment, very confusing.

I only noticed by accident, wouldnt normally pay too much attention to melee dice rolls.

Indeed it does.
The POAs listed are the ones for each unit.
Thus a Gaul 0 and a Roman +2 equals -2 for the Gauls.
Meaning they would only hit on 5s and 6s.

That would be hotkey "O" (That's an O'h, not a zero). Hotkey "P" switches it back.

Lars

EDIT: The reason it doesn't show the net modifier is, if that was all it showed someone would complain that it didn't state the reasons for the POAs.
Damned if you do, damned if you don't
