i have a question about Essex Miniatures 15mm Standard Bearers, i heard or read somewhere (i dont remember where) that they had the flag already molded on so you had to paint the flag, and i would really rather not.

can some one with experience with Essex Miniatures tell me if this is true or not?

Yes, all of the ECW/TYW 15mm Essex figs have flags moulded on, a pain to paint, but it can be done!

This is certainly true of the ECW Essex standard bearers in my possession. The flags, being metal, are heavy and usually molded somewhat folded or flapping in the breeze. So, yes you have to paint the flag and quess at how it would take the folds. It would take a fair amount of work to remove the flag and convert and on some figures not really possible.....

Good advice to yourself, you can buy officers, rummers, and NCOs seperately
