In both versions of the list, there are five options for how to get archers. Clicking on any one of these to add an archer automatically clears any archers already purchased and instead moves that number to the new line just clicked. E.g. If I had 2 LF archers and then click + to add a MF archer, instead I now show 2 MF archers.

All the archers have to be the same. Its like that when selecting options for lots of troop types across many lists.

There are some old lists where this should sometimes apply but does not yet apply. We are updating these slowly,
