How does this work? Please don't tell me I have to "create" anything. I just want to put in some numbers for each side and the AI buys its units and I buy mine and we have a go at it on a "random" map???

I'd really like a random battle generator like Combat Mission. Btw does anyone still play that? It was a great game IMO, but hard to find opponents nowadays. It should have had a multiplayer server like BA and FOG...

Now how does this random battle thing work?

Or if it doesn't, are there plans to implement something like that? It would add tremendously to longevity, especially if this would also be possible in multiplayer: host creates battle size/points value, AI creates or chooses the map, forces are either chosen by the players or created by the AI. Basically how the Combat Mission random battles worked.

Well that's bs then they lied. I want my money back!

If I have to create or make them myself then it is not random.

This someone over at Matrixgames said all you had to do was input values for the player and the computer player and the computer player would buy from the units available. I also read by someone over there (a developer from here I believe) who said the game would "include two skirmish maps" to play these random skirmishes against the computer. So where are they?

Start game, click campaigns, click Normandy Skirmish. There are two battles.
