Numbered Icons for FOG

Im using FOG Digital to play solo miniatures against the AI (many thanks for giving us a decent AI!) and I would like to make icons that were simply a unit number with a bar that would show how the unit is faced. (I would probably need about 60 Unit numbers, numbered from 1 to 30 for one side, and 70 to 99 for the other). I understand how to use paint to change the actual png units files, but how can I get the game to display them?
Has anybody added new personalized icons to the game? I would appreciate any advice at gcbisset@hotmail.com.
Alternately, how about slitherine puts an option into the game to just display the units number (units already have a number) and facing, rather than the minis icons? Id gladly pay for such an expansion! I think you are very close here to having a program that could be used for actual miniatures (thus eliminating confusion and arguments over rules), and expand the usefulness of FOG.
