Bug installing SAS 1.4

I can't install SAS v1.4 to two different pc's running win xp 32 bit!
One has FOG v 1.3.3 the other has v 1.4.3

Running the install file it says initializing but after a while crashes with an error in irsetup.exe
"Fieldofglorysetuplog" doesn't contain any information about the SAS install attempt.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but got the same result!

Any help would be appreciated!

Which lead to another question! why am i limited in the number of downloads of the install file as i wanted to check if the file was corrupt or not, but am denied this!

But Merry Christmas anyway:-)

On the downloads if you save the download you can install and re-install it as much as you like. There has to be a practical limit of download attempts, particularly as the downloads can be saved.

On the installing are you saying one install works and one does not? If this is the case the problem us likely to be something in your setup of one of the PC's.

Can you confirm if its one or no PC's that is failing.

When did you buy FOG from?

Thanks
Keith

Hi Keith,

I wanted to re-download the install file to check if it had gotten corrupt, that's why i'm complaining about being unable to download it again

The problem is on 2 different pc's where i'm unable to install the SAS module, one's a laptop another a desktop but both winxp 32bit. They both fail at the same point.
I tried to see if there was a difference with regards to the patch level of fog, but both machines fail to install SAS. As mentioned one has v 1.3.3 the other has version 1.4.3

It's bought directly from slitherine.
I should mention I have another win 7(64bit) machine running where I installed SAS originally without any problem. It's just the winxp machine's where I have a problem somehow and only with SAS.

Cheers

I have had no problem running SAS on Windows XP. I have it on a desktop and on a netbook.

I'm running the core program and all the army pacs on an XP system and have never had any problems with installs or upgrades. It has performed flawlessly since the day I first installed Field of Glory. And that is a full year.

Thanks guys, i have done some more tests and it does seem as if my SAS install file is broken as i can't run on my win7 system either which is where it originally worked!
Will have to ask for a new download link.
