Installing the Grand Strategy mod

I just got the game from Matrix and its the Gold edition (v1.12). I'm wondering if I need to manually install the mod or just use the exe from Slitherene.

Slitherine provides an installer for GS 1.06. Just download that file from them and run it. (But I'm not sure I'd bother with the little mini-patch 1.12.1...it caused me probs.)
