game menue background images

The game menue shows random background pictures. Some of them look realy nice! Is there a way to get these pictures as a jpg, bmp, png etc... file for my desktop as wallpapers?

They are all in DATA\UI\TEXTURES named as the frontpage_<number> DDS files. It might be that Richard has them in a higher resolution and could knock up some wallpapers too - I will ask

Agreed!
I have watched them already so many times, but still feel amazed at their quality and superb style everytime I log into the game. Sometimes, even spend some minutes looking through them once more.
Has Richard (I guess he is the artist, right?) published any comic book with this amazing style? If not, he should think about it. One fan here already for sure.
And I have noticed there are no additions with BF expansion. I was expecting some more.

Are there only 12 (frontpage 0 - 11) Pictures? I was thinking there are more background pictures in the game?

There are only 12 of them for the main menu. There are a few others which are used throughout the UI, but they are more scattered through the data.

Sorry guys - we must have forget about this thread. I was reminded of it by a question over on the Matrix forums, and came searching for the thread on the assumption we had done it!
So, being as it's Xmas, I have converted them to JPGs, and resized them correctly. Enjoy!

Yep, cheers - look good as wallpapers even when filling a 1440x900 laptop screen.
