Creating Blitzkrieg France Scenarios

After installing BF you might jump into the editor to see what is new. Nothing is there?
You need to copy the items from the France campaign to your My Games\BBCBA Campaigns folder.
Create a new campaign with the Globe button in the save screen. Exit the editor and copy the items that you will need from the France campaign to your new campaign. Then go back into the editor and have fun.
BF is set up to play from the Axis side. If you want to create battles from the Allies side, use the Sides.txt and uniticons.dds from a BA campaign.
For Axis battles, don't forget that side 1 is now on the left for country flag and side 0 is right.

I must say I am very disappointed that these new units did not show up in the editor. I have no idea what you are talking about in the open this move this do this. I have no idea where the units are and if I need any program besides the basic office stuff I am screwed. This is really the first time I can say that Slitherine has really disappointed me. The French planes show up and so do the HE 111s, why not the other units?

Sorry to hear that people are having problems. Maybe Pip will come up with something easier.
To see the units in the editor, create a new campaign with the Globe button. Copy the Squads.csv from the France campaign into your newly created campaign folder inside My Documents\My Games\BBCBA\Campaigns
In the meantime to create a campaign and scenarios from the Axis side, from the France campaign, you need:
Data folder
Objects folder
Terrain.txt
Squads.csv
SIDESs.txt
UNITICONS.dds
From the Allied side, do not use the SIDES.txt and UNITICONS.dds
Hope this helps.

Now moved the csv files into a new campaign where stated. If I wanted more units from the original game would you need to copy those files in the same place? Last question for now ... if you created a battle and wanted to do a MP with another person .. would they also have to copy the .csv files in there my games folder?

If you copied the csv file then ok, but if you moved it, your original campaign won't work.
If you wanted later war units in your battle you would have to have knowledge of copying lines from the original csv to the BF csv. Or ask one of us to do it for you. Do not put both csv's in the same folder.
Your opponent needs to have BF installed for you to MP a stock BF battle but I don't know how that works for non stock MP.
I haven't made any MP content yet and all the ones I have seen use stock BA units.

After more thought. Once you have your MP battle finished, your opponent or any other person wanting to play MP with it, needs to have the whole campaign folder. Then you and your opponent have to have that folder inside your
My Documents\My Games\BBCBA\Mulitplayer folder instead of the Campaigns folder.

have played MP I made with the editor with another player. So I have to send them all the folders including the csv files. they have added the expansion so that isn't a problem. Moved the files and they show up. If I want to add units from previous csv file can I just cut and paste using excel. thanks for your prompt responses. I stay with keep it simple.

It's not possible for all the units to co-exist unfortunately. I do want to have a simpler way to choose to use the data sets from a specific expansion etc.
Strictly speaking you only need the squads.csv to gain access to the units. The other data is needed for the ground objects etc.
Cheers
