if a battleline wants to deploy stakes does each unit have to take a cmt or does the battleline dice once
does deploying stakes take an entire move or can you move first and then place your stakes

Dice per battle group to place stakes.

Looks like it is a full move to place them so you can't move forward and then place them, stick them in the ground where you are standing.

It's odd that moving battle wagons is easier and has fewer restrictions than deploying/removing stakes. Battle wagons are far too maneuverable.

Each battle group dices separately. You can't use placing stakes as a battle line move, there is no movement involved.
Remember battle groups are your units made up of individual bases, battle lines are a collection of battle groups under the command of a single general
