Hi guys
the updated BF patch we sent out yesterday is hopefully the gold master. Please let us know if you have any issues ASAP. If all is ok we'll move it across to the production side.
Thanks!

I tried to create some testing user content but the game doesn't create a new folder for BF. Should it?

I'm not sure what you mean. Using the new units etc does mean copying across the squads file etc - being able to use 'existing' setups is something that we do need to make a little simpler I think. But nonetheless, I'm not sure what folder it should be creating?

When you install BBC BA it creates My Documents\My Games\BBCBA
Should I now have My Documents\My Games\BBCBF to place my user content in? The games use different exe files. Your content works because it is in the Campaign folder of the BF install.
I received an OOS error in my MP game with Surtur. I am guessing he hasn't applied the patch before the turn.

The game is integrated entirely - it's just your beta versions that use a different EXE and installer.
The OOS is probably because the scripts changed between turns (that is, you both updated but the turn holds CRC from the old script), so it's nothing to worry about.

OK then, I use the editor globe button to create a new campaign and simple battle. I try it in solo and it works. I move the folder to multiplayer folder. I start the game and go to multiplayer and create a challenge. The campaign shows on the list but no battles are listed.
I open the France campaign and no longer see a campaign.txt Is it integrated into something else now?
What do I need to add to my new campaign to get it to show up in the multiplayer scenario list?
Edit to add: I tried this with BA and BF.

The France campaigns (both SP and MP) are packaged up, so you won't see some of the files.
All MP campaigns need a campaign.txt file to tell the game which campaigns to show. It's a slight foible that I need to get sorted out, but so much on the list!
Hope that is what you mean?
Cheers

I created a campaign.txt and it worked hotseat with BF. It listed the battle as missing_ids_scenario but still let me play to completion.
That's what I wanted to do, test the user campaigns and multiplayer before release.
I used US and Germany for now as I need to copy over the France items to get the units in the editor.

So just to be clear, it worked as you expected?
Thanks

Yes
Then I copied files from the game into a new folder and created another campaign/scenario as French vs AI.
Not seeing the campaign.txt had me confused.

Played 3 missions so far – 1, 7 and 9
Mission 1 – Stuka achievement says done from the start.
Mission 7 – The British attack –listed 4 vp’s rather than 5 and won’t finish even when the runs had run out and I had won all the VP’s. In fact I captured 5 and so it listed 5/4 vps taken.
Mission 9 – no problems spotted. Very hard as befits the final mission.

Tim any mroe info on the British mission? Do you have a saved game near the end where we can check what is happening. Here it ends fine for us.

I have noticed that the PZIII is a lot higher priced than the PZIV
Is the PZIII a long barrel version and the PZIV a short HE chucker? I seem to get better odds with the IV against armour and not much difference against troops.

Sorry Iain I didn't get a save - I'm rerunning to see if it happens again. May not get chance to finish tonight however.

Just re ran the mission. It finished but the objective said capture all vps 4/4 - there are 5 and one of the achivements is capture 5 vps. I think when I captured 5 that may have caused the problem.

Mission 7 was setup wrong. It would only end if you had 4 or 5 objectives at turn 25. If you had 3 or less it would never end even if you later captured one. Fixed!

Are we there yet?

I think we're there. Just some logistical stuff to sort out!

I thought maybe the AI was jus laughing at me and giving me more and turns as I desparately tried to beat it
J2D - I'm not sure I am beating your Brits. Looks pretty even from my side. Hoping to play some more tonight but suffering from man flu so may crash out.
Glad to hear you just about there - its great add-on and on top of my Christmas list!

Add to this, the StuG was supposed to be an assault gun early on. It should have high HE ratings and so-so AP, hard to hit because of the low profile.
