Commander's real effects

Although some of this was discussed to some extent in other threads, I thought I would share my observation here. The effect of commanders on cohesion tests and rallying is not exactly as described in the rules. Specifically for melee and impact combat the unit must be adjacent to give a +1 on the cohesion role (same for all levels). However, for rallying the command radius is used and inspired leaders do give a +2. This is essentially opposite of what it says in the rules. For misslie combat cohesion tests are as described (radius is used and +2 for inspired).

Hope this is helpful.

Thank you for the clarification. Commander's effects has always been a gray area for me and I couldn't find anything in the manual that clearly stated what they were.

It would be great if Slitherine could update the manual so those of us that don't have the TT rules. The forum discussions on how second rank missile troops are handled is another example of something that could be explained more clearly.

It would be nice if they update the manual, period.
