Multi-player log in error

I just got a new laptop and installed FOG and ROR. In single player runs fine. However, when I try to log in to my multiplayer account I get error message stating "User has one or more serials (Code 11).

If I uninstall FOG from my old machine will this go away or is this some other problem? (I have a multiplayer game going now and I don't want to not be able to finish).

Thanks

Warren

There are no problems with having it installed on 2 machines but you must use the same username/password on both. Have you ever installed other army packs on either machine?

I have ROR installed on both machines. When you say I have to have the same username and password on both machines, do you mean the same name and password for my FOG account, or for the windows operating system. If it is the latter, this might be the problem.

The name & login to our server and this forum is what you need. If you're sure you're entering it all correctly mail info@slitherine.co.uk with your username and serial numbers and we'll check it out.

I'm starting to think this might be a problem with installing the ROR pack. I am unable to access the DAG even though I installed the pack. I just uninstalled and am trying to reinstall everything. I will let you know what happens.

You can tell if it is installed correctly on the main menu bottom left.

OK this is really strange. I used the uninstaller under the system panel to remove the game. However the uninstaller says for version 1.01, so I am not sure it is removing everything. I then deleted the remaining FOG folder by hand. I then reinstalled the game, 1st using the 1.01 installer that came with the digital download from matrix, then applying the 1.33 patch, and the updating to 1.4. I then install the ROR pack. I then start the program and go to the DAG and see that the ROR armies are there. I then log into multiplayer and get a message stating that I have a "mismatched user name" for ROR. I press ok for that and then try and login using my wdkruger account at Slitherine. Now I get "authurisation failed code 10". For kicks I made a second account under another username and amazingly now I can log in. However, after all this if I go to the DAG it says I don't have ROR installed and need to go buy it. Very frustrating.

I am running windows 7 on a MSI GX640 laptop.

One last thing. If I quit the program again and restart and go to the DAG , the ROR armies are there. However, if I go to multiplayer I get the same ROR username response and when I go back to the game DAG is not there.

BTW I had no problems at all on my old machine running VISTA.

Ian:

Here is the latest. Last night I did a complete uninstall and wiped clean the system registry according to the thread entitled "reinstall on windows 7". After this was done I was able to log into my multi-player account successfully, my DAG ROR worked fine, so I was happy and went to bed. This morning I tried again, but this time I got a "authorization code 10" error (however the DAG for ROR worked fine) . The funny thing is, I got the same error on my old machine, which was having no problems at all. Not sure if you did something to my account, or maybe your server was simply down.

One other question is: How can I remove the notification tray utility I installed? What is the physical file called and where does it live?

Hi - I think we reset your password and mailed it to you in an attempt to fix . Check your mail and use the new password and you should be fine!
