What figures to use? Naked Celts?

I use donnington Gaesatae. Being naked certainly differentiates them from the other warrior types.

I used Corvus Belli naked fanatics. And I painted them as gingas. If an elite warband of naked gingas doesn't scare the enemy, then I don't know what will.

Xyston gaeasati. They have the added advantage of being taller than most other figures too!

I like the description of the Bacchus 6mm ones:

Celtic Fanatic Infantry, charging

* 4 figures per strip
* 24 line strips per pack
* 0 clothes per pack

Hehe. Got to love a retailer with a sense of humour.

Although I'm not sure I could tell the difference at 6mm!

I interpreted British Elites not as naked beserkers but as an aristocratic warrior class (with the the rest of the infantry as part-time farm hands).

Therefore my elite warriors are those, from any supplier, that have one, or a combination of: ornate helmet, cloak, chainmail. I maybe pimp up their belts and scabbards a bit as well.

I don't like xyston for ancient britons. Too gallic looking somehow.
