250-8 with two runouts :O

245 all out :P

God knows how Hammy got them to 250-8 ...

2 run outs in a test is criminal ineptitude.

Mind you, never draw conclusions until both sides have batted IMO.

I got confused, I heard 244-8 and one of them hit a 6 so I assumed 250...

Methinks 245 is not a bad result for England.

I agree that 2 runouts is inneptitude although England seem from what I have heard to have fielded rather well.

Err, no. I didn't stay up to watch. I did listen to the first half hour before I went to sleep and the last 45 minutes before I headed off to face the joys of the British railway system and my rather unpleasant 3 hour commute to Liverpool :( The only reason for my post at 7:05 was that I was checking which trains had been cancelled. Sadly the website lied and the train I went to catch was cancelled as was the train before it and that meant that by the time the next train arrived it was fuller tha a full thing so I ended up walking an extra mile or so to Stockport station in the hope of getting a better service there.

Remind me again, why did I decide it was a good idea to get a 'real' job

Not having Sky doesn't help on the watching front either.

Non-Sky-Sports-users can get Radio 5 Live Sports Extra Test Match Special for free - with added Sir Geoffrey

It's actually better, as you can listen while you paint. That's my plan anyway. On my last 18 Perry men-at-arms, with just the belts, scabbards and other accoutrements to go.

Alas "due to rights restrictions" I can't listen to TMS, and unfortunately the beeb is wising-up to proxies and VPNs :(

These things annoy me, I'd quite happily pay to listen to TMS.

Yes but just imagine that you heard the poetry of Viking... instead of the bardic lyricism of 'Ponting, caught Swann, Bowled Anderson, nought'. If I knew how I would make it the ring tone on my mobile...

I haven't fully thought it out yet, but I have a concept for a FoG camp that features Kevin Peterson, with pads on, waiting patiently like Arthur or Barbarossa for his nation's call, as the years pass and his beard grows longer.
