Slitherine

Hi, can someone please advise the correct install procedure.

I have installed FieldofGlory-SetupRelease-DR-v101.exe which was originally purchased through Matrix.

I bought the ROR expansion RiseOfRome_PC.exe through Slitherine and when I ran this after installing FOG the installer tells me:

'The installer cannot install the upgrade patch because the program being upgraded may be missing or the upgrade patch updates a different version of the program'

say what? The ROR installer screens indicates its V1.00.

Any help appreciated!

The Rise of Rome installer shoudl work with both Slitherine & Matrix versions. What is the exact file name you are using so I can test it out here.

'RiseOfRome_PC.exe' This is the file I downloaded as advised by your support dudes a short time ago.

It might be that the default folder is wrong. Can you try cheking the installer folder is set to where you actually installed the game and see if that helps?

If not let us know and we'll issue a download to the Slitherine FoG installer and that shoudl definitely work. To be honest this should be fine too...

FOG is installed to c:\Games\Field Of Glory

Win 7 64 bit os.

Make sure you point RoR there when you install.

problem is, ROR throws the error before I get a chance to specify anything and installation is not able to proceed.

OK mail info@slitherine.co.uk asking for a re-download of the main game and instal that. Hopefully this will finally sort you out. I don't know why this isn't working

thanks Ian, I was issued a Slitherine 1.3.3 FOG installer and so I installed that, then the ROR install, then updated ingame and initially all seems well
