Recce vehicles&spotting

As far as i know the Scout units are the only ones that have an increased spotting radius, making them vital for gathering information. But they are also very vulnerable and, in certain tank-heavy scenarios or quite open maps they are not very useful as they tend to be killed quickly.
Could be possible load a scout unit into a halftrack and then give the vehicle the same spotting radius as long as the scouts are being transported?
Also, what about giving some vehicles the same spotting radius? You could have armoured cars as fighting units but some of them also labeled as "recon" with increased sighting radius. Armorued cars in BA are treaded just as small fighting vehicles when they were not uusally used in combat but for recce task.
I would like to see the Sdkfz 222 in this role...

When I first played BA, I assumed the 222 had an ability like the scout unit
I like your idea about the scout unit being transported where it can retain (or give) it's CoverLOS bonus to the vehicle it's riding in ... Why not? Right now the units inside a transport are dormant, they can't even "fire while riding" if in an open topped transport.
Changes like this are probably not going to happen ... that is, across the board as a permanent change. Ian has already shotdown ideas that would cause a radical change to game play.
The only good place for great ideas are within MODS or, perhaps in the next version of BA ... BA II ?
You know, I would like to see "hexes" in the next version ... along with everyone's great ideas too!

I quite enjoy the current state of BA. I can make it a little tougher by removing promotions and setting the rank in the editor.
I foresee a groggier version someday with no comics, higher detail models and more "rules".

I don't think so

. To be honest I am suprised that nobody is working on a version with more groggy rules, although having said that, the model is actually fairly detailed already (the track hits mod is pretty cool though).
And we're listening pretty hard to you guys too
