When building my armies, (say Scots) can the builder be adjusted to increase the stock limits of Highlanders? Like say 50 of them, not I think what it defaults to (20) as the upper limit? Another thing I do and probly many others is build a merc force. Free companies or condotti just aren’t "free" enough. I want more choice!
I edited the Roman Legionaries to throw Pilum. I know it is incorporated into the stats but it was much of the strategy of the day to at least throw 2 volleys before attacking! I feel much better doing this! Range of 2 with javelins is what I pick. Any thoughts guys?

When you say army editor, do you mean the DAG or do you mean in the scenario editor?

You can set almost any legal values you wish in the scenario editor but the DAG files should not be edited and could cause a an issue with the game system.

I would like to build a real Merc army in DAG. I am am not happy with the limits as they are. But I defer to the experts .

I think what Kieth means is that if you manually edit any of the data files that have the DAg army data , it could mess up your game making it unstable , or at the least causing problems in MP....

I doudt Slitherine has any plans to open up the dag lists to major changes ,the DAG army lists are basically straight from the TT and balanced (as much as is possible) for contests bewteen players based off the AP sytem.

What you need to do is express interest in a new feature that allows openended DAG armies to be created ( this had its own thread at one point, or maybe part of the wishlist one)
