A Livonian trilogy . . .

These are highly fictitious renderings of early Northern (or Livonian) Crusade battles - the historical sources that I have found give very little detail about terrain or troop types apart from some generalities about the participants and prominent historical figures. Thanks to Lars for help with the play-testing.

St Matthews Day, 1217

Lindanisa, 1219

Schaulen, 1236

Any comments and/or suggesions would be most welcome.

Nice job , just played this trilogy as the crusaders vs the AI and must say really well balanced and a lot of fun! I actually almost lost to the AI on the ist , 1 BP away  That was the crusading w Lars one, St Mathiews.(thought you'd have a leader named after him, Sir Cheerful or whatnot:)

My only "critique" is it kept throwing me off where you had the 5-6 icon units classed as mediums and the 2 icons also as mediums, but that is likly because i have been playing this game too long and become set in my ways. Also you had some mediums with javelins , geat idea but sadly the AI doesnt seem to understamd they have the ranged weapon and not once did they fire at me... (not sure why they didnt program this, maybe because there are not javelin throwing mediums in the tt?)

Anyways thanks for posting these and look fwd to more!

Thanks for this TGM. How do you mean "throwing me off" in relation to the medium foot? Do you want a game or two with me and then you can raise this point there?

Not a big deal at all but what i mean is you have units classed as MEDIUM that have the graphics of HEAVY infantry so you forget and try to use them like heavies and not the mediums that they are designed as. Same thing with the mediums that have the graphics of light foot.
Always up for game, pm me a psswrd , cheers!
