As a minor quibble, I suspect that none of the Byzantine lancers should have horse armour at this late date. The first image you use for the Byzantine lancers is more appropriate for Nikephorian(early) or late Thematic Byzantines than for Komnemnan average lancers. (Maybe in a commanders BG would be more plausible.)
