Desert and Swamp are Open Ground? It's a very problem in some part of the map!

Mmmh...i don't think that swamp is open terrain but maybe Iain can tell us more.

It shouldn't be. I cant remember to be honest - this game is 7 years old

Mmmh...i've just launched the game and reread the manual but it seems to me that there are only the 4 different types of terrain available (popup appears also when you go with the mouse on it while on the deployment screen:
- Open ground
- Forest
- Hill
- Scrub
- Open ground
- Forest
- Hill
- Scrub

I'm sure that desert and swamp are not just my imagination. Swamp is rough terrain, desert... ???

Are you ( both ) mixing up the Campaign Map terrain and the Battle Map terrain here ?
[ ??? : "desert" = Beach ? ( Campaign Map ) , = Open Terrain ? ( Battle Map ) ??? ]
