If a unit tests ... (for whatever reason) ... following that, a BG routs next to it. Do you need to mark units that test again for 'routing friends', and dice a second time?

Yes you test again at the end of the phase for the rout. But you don't need to mark it at all. Any unit that routs is turned around and is itself the reminder and marker for later in the phase. Just complete the phase and then return to do a rout test and rout move at the end of the phase.

The player chooses which order to do his won routs and tests in and takes the test as it is at theat TIME. So if another unit routs a third one may have to test at the extra -1 for testing for two reasons.

Hope that clarifies. No need to note anything if you do it all in the right sequence.
