Poll: Army-book preferences

Without (hopefully) stepping on any of either HexWars or Slitherines toes, I thought it would be interesting to see which expansion is the most awaited.
Just so there's no misunderstandings for any newcomers, neither I nor the poll is in any way affiliated with either company, nor do I expect the result to have any influence on the production-schedule.
I'm just curious by nature

I prefer see Rennaissance in FoG engine but i understand that this means a new game/serie, with actual engine we only can see the "old" packs.
I vote for "Oath of Fealty" because is the list i like see, i have other list interest like "Legions Triumphant" or "Eternal Empire" but only can vote one time

d) Blood and Gold (america)

Wolves from the sea for me.
While I can see the fun in all of them (and will probably buy them all whichever order they come in), my real love lies in the dark ages, with the sweeping tribal migrations.
Besides, I'm Danish so kinda looking forward to going a-Viking.

Wolves for me too, but as I am British, I kinda look forward to repelling the Vikings and the Normans

1. Empire of the Sun for the Samurai armies.
2. Wolves of the Sea. I'm a sucker for Vikings.
3. Don't care about the rest. Bring on FOGR.

Hmm this is a tough one. In the end I voted for Ren, even though i doudt this will ever be an addon, since as another poster mentioned, it would likly require a new engine to do right.
I am surprised less people are intested in Eternal Empire. Come on, Teutonic Knights, janisarries, Lithuanians, Catalon Company: whats not to like?
Of course legions with clib's, sagitarri, Sassanids.......
The only expansion i have little interest in is Blood and Gold, Warriors with red feathers vs warriors with green feathers?
Now maybe if a conquistador army was included....

Even with conquistadores the game is the same, because conquistador army have small spanish troops (rodeleros the killer unit) and lots of local allies.
I really find a REN title more interesting (tercios, arcabuces...) but i see it in a future when we have all (or at least main part) of pre-ren armies lists and they can work in a new engine.
Well, Eternal empire is a good title but Oath of Fealty is more interesting hehehe.
PD: i think is better do a poll with 3 votes per person, only one is like when you are a kid in a toy store your mom say to you "only one, select only one"
EDIT: i find surprising the interest in Sea Wolfes... i see many tecno viking fans here

Oh maybe the pull of King Arthur? Always wanted to play the Romano Brits, but hell I voted for Swifter than Eagles, cause I want to be Achilles.

I know nothing of any of the books, my 1st intro to FoG has been this game.
I love Ancients and I love Japan from the Samurai era (9th to 17th centuries), so if that's covered by Empire of the Sun then that would get my vote
I've been to Italy, Greece, Turkey, Israel, Egypt so to see and experience some of the great places of the ancient world was wonderful

I really have to get to Japan some time soon

Has to be Wolves from the Sea for me. You have Vikings, Irish, Anglo Danish as well as the Scots

What is not to love about that! Particularly on the potential scenarios - raids, ambushes and retreats with the booty.
I think I have to lie down now. Too much drooling at the thought of this.

Morbio,
Samurai are in that book, but they're kind of odd. Not Sengoko period troops at all. The latest list has Samurai and followers on mob bases. MF/HW/Bw* and lots of them. However, there is an option to split them up in all-Sam and all follower MF units and have cav too.
This is the thickest book I've seen cover many armies. Chinese look particularly nasty. Those Hexwar painters will have their work cut out for them.

why not cover them in the historical order? that would be the best way to do it, imho.

Little late for that. Besides, covering different periods gives you a broader player-base.
Imagine the Medieval fans having to wait their turn until each and every ancient army had been done.

Sorry. Blame Slitherine, they're the ones who made polling-system

But I agree, being able to rank them would've been better than just picking one. I wavered between Wolves and Fealty......
TheGrayMouser wrote:I am surprised less people are intested in Eternal Empire. Come on, Teutonic Knights, janisarries, Lithuanians, Catalon Company: whats not to like? Very Happy

I suspect people know less about this period than most of the others, thus the lack of interest. Apart from the Baltic Crusades, I know sod-all about these armies.
This is what happens when Hollywood hasn't done a block-buster about the subject in a good while

And Romano-Britons, (and vikings!), Saxon shieldwalls (and vikings!), Frankish raiders (and vikings!), Rus horsemen.....
Oh dear......
*goes to a quiet corner, waiting for the gibbering to subside.....*
(And did I mention the vikings?)

no, not late at all. also, probably many of the lists will be condensed into the same add-on (or it should, as some are less important/have less lists than others). also, there are only three more lists needed qhich are from antiquity, and therefore wouldn't be too much to do.
I for one I am less into medieval period, and not at all into the muskets period.
