Is there the idea to convert the new rules for Field of Glory in add ons for the released Field of Glory pc game?
Do you think they will be a brand new game (for rules may be different) or they should be produced as add ons to the core Field of Glory pc game?
Thanks in advance and sorry if this was already asked and answered

Slitherine/Hexwar are certainly looking into FOGR:PC. I don't know how far along with it they are as yet. I suspect it will be a standalone game.

It would be great to see it but I don't think their hex system will work well to capture the feel of the Tercios. I guess we shall see what the boys at Slitherine come up with one of these days.

Well Tercio is indeed a tough unit to make on an hex base game, however i believe that a pike+muskets unit should be a good starting point for Tercio.
In FOG digital version the crossbows and "pavesai" or the burgundian mixed troops (pike and crossbows) are just one single unit.

The Great Battles of Hannibal Alexander etc pc games had no problems with multihex units, no reason it couldnt be adapted for a FOG REn compter game, which i would be very interested in

A lot of us would be interested in it, I just don't think it would be the same if a grand formation was only a single hex icon. It would definitely lose some of its visual appeal and seem less ominous. I do hope they can work something out to overcome that problem.

I have those games, anyway i believe that FOG digital version should not apply the multihex units.
In my opinion FOG digital version tries to reenact the feeling of the tabletop on a pc, and on tabletop a player can't add bases of units over bases of units.
I know even HPS simulation use the multihex and even Horse and Muskets, but i really like FOG digital version for i have the feeling of seeing my table with hills and painted miniatures.
(and those miniatures are really pained well in FOG pc game

)

Oh , I think you misunderstand what i mean. When i say multihex I mean 1 unit actually OCCUPIES 2 (or more) hexes .. This is what The Great Battles did. I think you are confusing what i mean with "stacking " multiple units in a single hex (which is what HPS and the Musket Horse games do) I agree as well that stacking would not fit in with FOG pc or TT feel, and also poses other problems as well, especailly as most AI's cant handle it very well.

What you say can be a good solution

Personally I would like to see a tercio take up more than one hex, then it would look intimidating. One of the devs did say that he hoped some day they could work it out so that battle groups could be more than just the assumed 4 bases they have now.
