Hi,
Impact mounted can be found in the Early Louis XIV French army list in "Wars of Religion"

I saw the Finnish Cav. after I posted the last comment, but the French Early 17th c.List was the first I looked at since the reference to Turenne Cav. in the Rule book.
My "War of Religion" book does not have any reference to Impact Mounted in the French list, so I am assuming a typo... so Chevaux-legers should be Impact Mounted Swordsmen instead of Pistol Pistol as in my book?
Thanks

The first two lines show them as cavaliers with impact mounted/swordsmen.

I think Simone is looking at the Early French TYW list rather than the Early Louis XIV French list, hence the confusion.
Simone, go to page 103

Unless I am missing something, Impact Mounted are effectively the same as Heavy Lances except that they have a PoA against Impact Pistols instead of against Light Lancers. So why do they cost two points more? Is it just that Impact Pistols is much commoner than Light Lancers as a capability?
That being said, the ability of Turennian cavalry to bully all the Cuirassiers and Ironsides in the Impact phase makes the Early Louis XIV French look rather tasty in-book.

Yup.
Impact Mounted trumps all mounted impact POAs except Heavy Lancers, which (a) are extremely rare within theme (b) are likely to be few and far between in open tournaments, as they are disadvantaged vs Impact Pistol.

You can see a book after bottle of Vino(from a man who drinks as much as Cromwell did not)
