Can't access beta maps on an XP PC

Guys I am confused. Game works fine on my Windows 7 PC. My mate (Treester) bought the game and is happily playing me, but when he installs the beta 2 maps they aren't recognised on his machine. I am pretty competent with PC's and checked it out for him, reinstalled the maps and I don't get it, everything seems fine but just not working.

Am I missing something or does it just not work with XP (unlikely)

The beta maps are all from my PC which is XP so definitely works.

Are you sure they are in the right folder? If they are there it should just work...

i have just looked more carefully at the folder structure on my windows 7 poc and his xp machine, i have found a problem, but not sure why or what the easiest remedy is.

In my windows 7 machine under "Multiplayer" i just have folders for MPBulge, MPDesert etc 3-4 and that is it.

He has the same MPBulge etc BUT also a duplicate set of folders called something like BETA_MPBULGE, BETA_MPDESERT etc.

i.e. the beta maps seem to have been added into my existing folders but become seperate folders on the XP machine.

I have no idea why this would happen.

More importantly, what would be the easiest way to copy over whatever should be wherever?

These are in your My Documents\My Games\BBCBA\Multiplayer folders?

I'm not entirely understanding what you mean from your text. If you copy your My Games\BBCBA\Multiplayer folder and send it to him, are they the same?

Cheers

i think we have been putting files in program files not my docs, no idea why we both did that without noticing it. I think it will be alright now, soon see.
