Free Ambush against Armor with No APCharges.

Pip,

I may have come across a bug ...

You know how Infantry have at least 2 APCharges? Well, if they are exhausted and the Infantry unit is "in cover", it will Ambush an armored vehicle when it moves into the adjacent tile.
I see this everytime.

I checked the FUNCTION REACT_UNIT_FIREAP(me, unit) ... There are no conditions that check for APCharges or HasGrenade ... meaning it's free.

Now, if the Infantry are getting desperate and throwing make-shift bombs at the armor ... well, that's ok ... you meant to do that right? :wink:

EDIT NOTE : ... I understand React Fire has "free" shots when there are no more shots ... But, APCharges aren't replensihed at the start of a turn.

That could well be a bug - I havent noticed it but that doesnt mean its not there!

If it is a bug well spotted!

I'm thinking (now) ... It's more of an exploit ...

You know, there's a Tank sitting on a road with tree lines on either side ...
My infantry unit sneaks up and tosses a few bombs, but misses ...
I then move the Infantry down the treeline one tile and wait in ambush ...
The poor Tank Commander thinks, "haha, he's out of charges ... move out!" ... badaboom!
Who's laughing now Mr. Smart Tank Commander?

EDIT : Which reminds me ... we need Molotov's ... yeah yeah, it's France, so we can call them Champaigne's ?
Actually, hmmm, maybe a mod idea ... I'll setup a building that has a "Wine Cellar" ... this will "recharge" my APCharges ... 8)
