Overlaps & Weimerian questions

Am I right in assuming that a base of any unit that fights at 1 die per 2, in overlap would count as a full die on its own ?

Also does anyone know of a decent book or website that would feature uniforms for the army of Bernard of Saxe-Weimar ?

Cheers

Scrumpy, Page 119 says '1 dice per overlapping file'. Base has nothing to do with it. Full dice. (However I have been wrong in every FoG:R post for the past 24 hours so probably best to wait for Nik...)

Swedish Uniforms. Best bet would be something by Brzezinski. I can't remember if he covered that list in his books.

http://balagan.org.uk/war/thirty-years- ... -guide.htm has some stuff on Swedish uniforms but nothing on that period. I have never seen anything.

Thank you Timmy. I thought it was, I was just trying to seek conformation. Seems to me that the fog(r) mindset needs to be quite a bit different to fog(a&m)

Want to try the determined horse option with some French impact foot thrown in to see if it works. Guessing the commanded shot deployed between the Dho helps a lot to in combat.

See the Swedish thread in the Army Design and you will see how wrong I was on that so I am not the best to ask.

I would say that there was'nt a standard uniform, maybe I'm wrong but was'nt Bernards troops raised from Germany. I might be completly wrong but I would look at the NY Museum they have pictures online from the 17th century showing german uniforms I'm added some to a thread on this site somewhere.

There is a chapter on him in the Leaders of the thirty years war, I'm sure Daniel on here has some German ones as well.

The file gets 1 dice. But LF (for example) fighting battle troops then lose 1 dice per 2.

So if the rest of the LF BG was 2 ranks deep, and it only overlapped the enemy on one side, it would get 1 whole dice for the overlap, as it has an odd number of dice prior to applying the reduction. However, if it overlapped the enemy on both sides, it would lose one of the resulting 2 dice, so it would still only get 1 extra dice.
