LOS error?

PC v 1.3.5

Shouldn't the javelins on the left be out of LOS from my levies? Especially since they're in a gully
My guess is that the engine checks whether firer or target is in an elevation-hex, so that units on hills can look over other troops.
I just don't think it checks whether the elevation is negative.

I think there are two issues, ist I dont believe being in a gully is considered an elevation and thus isnt incororated in los calc's ( and it looks like the javelineer is in a gully) Second, despite the graphics, impassible "hills" do not block LOS...I think somewhere it was said that that will eventually change.....

I thought that was fixed in 1.3.3?
Ah well, ignore everything I said then

Gullies are not in the LOS calculations and they are not scheduled to be at the moment. Keith

But in this case the LOS would have been blocked by impassable terrain if that blocked LOS. Is that still scheduled for a patch?
(Seems like FoG PC gullies aren't much like real world gullies which is pretty much consistent with FoG TT gullies

.)

Well, if a gully was deep enough to hide(block LOS) of a 300 man unit, let alone a cavalry unit or Pac, it wouldnt really be a gully, but a canyon

, which begs the question of how a unit would have climbed down into one in the ist place;)
