Wondering whether there will be any pure sup shot in this army.
For what it's worth, Gush list had many B shooting troops which
could be equivalent to sup troops.

Spring, if you are playing in book, anything without Pike is going to get rolled over by all those Gendarmes, VERY, VERY quickly.

Old Glory Miniatures has a Wars of Religion 1550-1600 line in 28mm. Not bad and cheap for 28mm.

Spring, if you are playing in book, anything without Pike is going to get rolled over by all those Gendarmes, VERY, VERY quickly.

aaahh, but that's what i'm trying to figure is there a chance to shot down more units than what i might lose using a heavy shooting army

Spring, all I will say is, despite my affinity with the Huguenots, if you want to try a Hugenot army with MF, Superior, Arquebus shot BGs without Pike, I will take the army of Guise and the Leaguers. Gendarmes, Superior Swiss, and Artillery, plus mixed foot BG of Landesnequets looks a better bet to me.

Richard is correct, I should have added UNLESS they are commanded shot mixed with mounted.

I've never seen any beta list for this period and my fog:renaissance gaming experience is rather...slim, so
i'm going to take your words and gather some informations about the Duc of Guise ^^as a possible tenth?

Lance-armed Gendarmes before 1577, Cuirassiers from 1577. (Horse, Superior, Heavily Armoured, Impact Pistol, Melee Pistol).

The commanded shot are also only from 1577.

Hum, even with many commanded shot available, i'm not sure you're going to use that many with such pricey

Pricey? 16 points? Pretty cheap compared with Cavaliers and Determined Horse. (Polish winged hussars are 23 points a go).

Oh 16pts, i was thinking determined horse with there 21pts^^, that gives room for a good amount of
supported horses then. Still they won't get the same use as mass shooting infantry units, we''ll see
what wi'll be supported horses best use when used en masse.
