I purchased FOG plus immortal fire and Rome add ons, by the time i had downloaded all the upgrades to 1.33 the software launcher fails to start so i decided to remove all the software and start again. however on trying to re install FOG1.2 from disc the PC flags up
"Could not open the unistall executable for writing: Access to C:\windows\field of glory\unistall.exe was denied C:\windows\field of glory\unistall.exe ok

So now can't put anything on the machine!

any ideas otherwise will have to send these discs back

Regards
John

Sorry you are having problems.

It sounds like something has become corrupt on your machine. It migth be worth checking it for errors/viruses etc and do a general health check to make sure nothing is wrong.

It looks like the installer has failed to write or delete a file. This sounds like an HD issue. It might be worth trying to install to a new folder and see if that helps. It is unlikely to be an issue with teh disk as it woudl not generate this type of error. It woudl produce a read eerror. If there is a write/delete error it is on the HD side, not the CD side as it never attempts to write/delete anything to the CD.

If you have not already try rebooting and doing it again. PC's can be a real pain like this sometimes.
