I started the second battle of my campaign and after a few turns I press esc to get the save screen. Nothing.

EDIT exit and start over and now it works. ??

Anything specific that might help us to replicate? Had you played MP prior to it, or entered the battle in a specific way?

Got the new build, messed about in editor, deleted all saves. Started game, campaign, skipped first battle and started second. Played a few turns, waited for my turn, press esc, nothing.

I had this yesterday. The ESC key stopped working in mission. I quit mission and it worked to bring up the menu at the mission selection. I tried again and it stopped working here and I had to go back to the main menu. I think it was related to not letting the AI complete its turn before trying to quit a game but that may have been a coincidence.

I thought it was the AI turn also but I waited and waited, and still no ESC ability.

ESC sometimes quits working (I have the latest version (1.5? Don't know where to check version info), no expansion). I'm playing single player campaing. I encounter this problem usually after about one hour of play. Then I need to restart game.
