Computer Moderated Tabletop Figure Games

I have a lot of experience of playing computer moderated tabletop figure games using Blood and Iron and Hard Pounding (authors: Dave Millward and Simon Norburn). I am thinking of buying the Fields of Glory written rules, but then saw that you have issued a set of computer rules. Having looked at them I see the rules are purely for playing on line against other internet opponents or by utilising the graphics on the computer rather than using figures on the tabletop with games moderated by the computer. I would like to know if you intend to convert the Fields of Glory written rules (or the current PC rules) into a set of computer moderated rules? I would be very interested in such a set as I have seen the advantages of using such game mechanisms when playing figure wargames. I suspect a lot of other gamers out there who enjoy tabletop figure wargaming would also like to play their games using such a game method.

If you do have plans in this direction what is your likely time frame. If you do not have such plans would this stimulate you to think about producing such rules?

Hi Graham

Thanks for your interest, at present we think our standard table top FOG rules and the PC version give a pretty wide range of oppertunity to play Ancients. We are looking at an update of FOG Ancient rules and we have a number of add ons planned for the PC version and have just released our tournament system.

In addition FOG R has just released, but I have to confess we have not prviously considered computer moderated, so unfortunately this is not currently on our radar.
