Have just started the final push mission in the British 8th Army campaign and think that mine fields and mine clearing teams would add a further dimension to the game without making it to complex ,also would add a need for some flail tanks etc. the sapper could also build pontoon bridges (like in Sudden Strike) .With this bridges can be destroyd and bridge laying tanks created.

This game has now enterd my top 3

1 Total Anhilation
2 Sudden strike
3 BFA

I've got a basic minefield in the works now ... It's something that scenario designers can add to a new scenario.

Credit for the model sign goes to tim1966 ... thanks again Tim!

Very cool indeed! Great job guys!

I suppose they can be coded as to remind hidden until some unlucky soul steps on them?

I think this and barbed wire can give a new dimension to engineers.

Not yet, that's work in progress. I've been focusing on my Leader Units and haven't gotten back to minefields.

Indeed. Barbed wire works on the same concept as minefields .... I just need a barbed wire model and adjust the code so the wire won't kill anyone.

At the very least, it gets Minefields and Barbed Wire out to gamers and perhaps Slitherine can help make them better!

BTW ... regarding Flail tanks ... I can code any unit with the ability to clear mines (that's easy) ... If someone builds a Flail tank model I can make it happen.

Also, I can code Engineers to "place mines". The question is ;

(q.) How many mines should an Engineer be allowed to place during the scenario??

Right now, I can make it place 1 minefield ... I just need to write the code.
If a scenario designer wants it to give it an ability to place more mines they can change the code to suit them.

Cool stuff ... If I didn't have a full time job I can do this all day long!

Placing mines is one thing. Placing them intelligently is another.

Now THAT would be cool.
