Just got an e-mail today from Amazon saying they have run out of FOG:R and the first army list for the order I placed on August 4th!!
How can they not have stock in for an order placed 6 weeks prior to publication and why wait until the day after it was due to be despatched to tell me?
They also cannot tell me when it is likely to be available so does anyone from Slitherine have an idea please?
Irony is I saw the book at Colours at the weekend!!!!!

This is par for the course. For some reason Amazon sends this email out for all the FoG publications, starting with the original FoG:AM rules, and continuing from there. Everyone always seems to get their shipment on time, however. Chances are you will see no delay.
It's just one of those things.

I sm in the same boat with my order although mines was placed in february below is Amazon's reply to my querry.
Sometimes unexpected fluctuations in supply can add time to our original availability estimate. We did not get the items from the supplier on the promised publishing date.
We have learned that the order is now back-ordered and we will update you once we have received an estimated arrival date from the vendor.
While we do our best to adhere to our estimates, our inventory is constantly changing based on information we receive directly from our suppliers, and occasionally, changes in our supply chain can add time to your order.
Please be advised that I have contacted our buying team with regard to this delay and they are currently looking into it. Once we receive any update on the order status you will be notified immediately.
Please note that the availability and dispatch times listed on our website are estimates only, and not guarantees. While we do our best to adhere to these estimates, our inventory is constantly changing based on information we receive directly from our suppliers, and occasionally, unexpected fluctuations in supply can result in us being unable to fulfil an order. While we do not like to see this happen, and our inventory team try to avoid this at all costs, due to the size of our catalogue it is unavoidable that this will happen from time to time.
We will not charge you for items until we dispatch them to you. We'll send you an e-mail when we dispatch from our Fulfilment Centre, confirming the date, contents and method of delivery.
Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused.

One of my pet hates, waiting for items I have paid for to be shipped, why do bills always get through so quickly in comparison ?

its all an evil conspiracy started in ancient times by the Romans and then brought back to life by Parliamentarian scum, thats who you have to blame for the sorry state of the mail system that allows bills to get through on time but not things to make you happy.

Blame Blathergut he runs Romans and will soon be running Parliamentarians, you should really be more selective on who you let into your command, Parliamentarian head collector

I ordered rules and first army list last night from Amazon and both now showed up as "in stock" whereas 2 days ago both were not.
I have to be fair and say that I find Amazon excellent to deal with.

I recieved both an 'out-of-stock' email and a 'dispatched today' email yesterday - hopefully the latter email applies!
Cheers,

Home from work and my books arrived. Now to work out my Armies and base my 15mm foote. Ordered new pikes (50mm spears from xyston) also arrived today. I have my cavalry all rebased this week along with my artillery but held back on the foote until I understood the determined description properly.
Great stuff I have looked forward to this for ages and now poodles will be sacrificed.

Arg it's been on order so long ago that I ordered it that I got the amazon notice that the payment method was incorrect... All sorted now but hopefully that does not delay my copy too long.

Amazon re ordered as they ran out of stock on their initial order, so should be ok. If it gets unbearable we have stock here
