Is it your intention to produce a revised version of the rules in time for the competition and when do you hope that may be?

We hope to issue a major revision in the next week or two (which will include a substantial revision of the points system), then we may issue a further minor update in January before the tournament.

We appreciate that this may affect the superness of players' selected super-armies, but as the main purpose of the tournament is to beta test the rules, it makes sense to use the latest version of the rules.

Consequently, I won't be requiring finalised army lists for checking until the week before the tournament.

I think Steve and I see it more as a way to checking what we are doing in right and seeing if other people read things the same way as us. Having said this, after Friday nights game we may have to form the core of the (super) novices section.

Could be a pretty universal club at USK....not to worry. My son is coming along and he'll need membership too!!

In addition to the rules, we have a fair batch of diagrams on the go at the moment. Hopefully at least some of those will come out in some form prior to USK along with a new version of the rules. About 50 daigrams exist in draft form at the moment.

Cheers

About 16 players so far - some in pairs, some in singles - we may match them into ad hoc pairs or let them play single depending on space. The DBM comp has about 36 teams so far - down on last year but not negligible.

We are happy for anyone who wants to switch over to the AoW section to do so, but also happy to run a small AoW event - the main purpose of the exercise being to Beta-test. OTOH those that take part will be able to tell their grandchildren that they took part in the first ever AoW tournament.

IIRC correctly it was up to a bit over a dozen people at the last count (excluing the AOW team - I think 4 out of 5 of us will be there). Should be fun. Richard will have the up to date numbers. The more the merrier.

I rather fancy a comp of it myself - we might have a little authors 4 way comp on the side if there's room. Hittites out on Thursday for a ride - testing out lots of chariots.
