supressed unit in building still fires with -1 morale?

I've been playing Desert Rats and several times my opponents hidden infantry that IS suppressed and retreating gets an ambush on my units. Please fix this bug - at least I assume its a bug since a unit that is suppressed can't return fire/ambush or should not be allowed to anyway.
Thanks!

This happened to me also.. Something to do with being inside a building, i had the moral around 10, next turn went for the ambush and it shot me in the street.. my opponent said it had been suppressed with mortar fire on his turn so it could still fire, so i just went along with what he said, but now that you bring it up again.. there is something funny going on with suppressed units in buildings after the first turn

Have never seen this so I assume it is someone you cant see firing at you. If you have a saved game where you can repeat let us know.

Have not seen it happen with Infantry myself, but it DOES actually happen quite a lot with Armor to me. Quite a few tanks will still take opportunity fire even if suppressed. This also supposed to happen?
Regarding infantry, take in mind maybe the unit was not supressed at the time of taking the shot, but it got suppressed right after, if they received any kind of fire. That´s what happened in the game with Logan after the unit that fired to his advancing squad got suppressed by mortar fire afterwards.

Suppressed tanks shoot back by design. They have 1 shot and reduced accuracy.

Actually not shooting back (they do that as well and almost always miss, i noticed) but taking an opportunity shot when enemy unit comes into their LOS. Even when suppressed

Yes, basically they react if suppressed but at reduced accuracy.

In the scenario after the Bastogne scenario (The one where you get Calliopes), I had a supressed Sherman that retreated behind a hedge and managed to supress a Stug that pursued it.

I had an instance in the last Western Desert Campaign, last mission:
Had the Tiger tank surpressed from indirect fire from my 25pdr, he retreated. I attempted to flank him with a Sherman, but instead he blasted me into oblivion. How is it possible if he is surpressed and retreating, but still able to perform opfire?

It stops people being able to treat suppressed armour with contempt. Otherwise you have M5s chasing King Tigers around, which doesn't make sense. Suppressed armour has heavy penalties when reacting, but you still need to be careful!
