Congrat's to all who contributed to GS 1.06 and earlier.
Much more realistic and yet still very playable and balanced.
Frankly, I would've paid for such a nice upgrade!
I hestitated about serious play with the earlier BJR mods since I wasn't sure about the balance and was afraid of hidden "gotchas" with the new rules.

Love how the GS version is optional and so many settings are in the config files (must be good for debugging).

Excellent manual with lots of detail on mechanics and formulas.
Hopefully this will be a living document which will include edited descriptions and clarifications from the forum.
Even with search it wasn't always easy to find the gems we needed on the forum.

Graphics are great but I do miss the old counters. Can I tweak a config file and use the old ones?
We don't use sprites or audio.

As I read the forum for new mod ideas, I wonder how hard they would be to implement.
I think Stauf. has referred to a game engine - is that game.class or some collection of .class files?
I seem to remember someone stated that adding units or changing game mechanics would require big changes to the core or "engine", whatever that is.
I'm sure CEAW will never be open source, but it would be nice to have an API for the engine to support simple .class file changes or substitutions.
These mods could be posted for evaluation and comments....
