NMA BGs??

For a NMA I have the following so far:

-4bases Horse w pistols + swords; some partially armoured
-4bases Horse w pistols + swords; some partially armoured

-2bases pikes + 4bases muskets
-2bases pikes + 4bases muskets
-2bases pikes + 4bases muskets

-2bases muskets
-2bases cannons

-4bases dragoons dismounted

-1 commander based so far (2 more waiting painting)

Could someone give me an idea on what I still need to hit 600pts? I suspect I'll have less horse than Dead.'s Royalists. Am still a week or two away (at best) from receiving the rules. I have two boxes of the cuirassiers, but it sounds like I don't need them for the NMA. I have a box of firelocks I haven't painted yet...can I have them in a BG?

That sounds like its waaaay over 600 points, I suggest you drop the cannons and forget the firelocks. That should be just about right

I make that about 500 points including an FC and 2 TCs.

You need to get a cooking pot & serving wenches for your baggage, then you can have half a poodle sticking out of the pot you animal hating swine. :D

So what could I add for another 100pts? I have 2 BGs of pike/shotte unglued/unpainted, anothe BG of Horse unglued/unpainted, and the firelocks unglued/unpainted. Does NMA have a firelocks BG?

More than like they they have more firelocks than the King does, swines not only did they steal the royal treasury they want to eat poodles. I think they should rename that list the "New barbarian thieving animal haters"
Death to Parliament...... think I need a T-shirt with that on it.

Another pike and shotte BG and an Average Determined Horse BG.

(I am assuming that you want a Naseby period army, at which time the infantry weren't yet that great, so are rated as Average. I rated your first 2 BGs of horse as Superior Determined Horse)
Does NMA have a firelocks BG?
One BG of 4 bases.

Thanks RBS for all the help. Keeps me painting! I'll always go for more + average anyday!

The more you paint, the safer the 15m poodles of this world will be.

Actually he is a 28mm poodle, makes him a larger target for his shot units. I hope his shot units are horribly inaccurate and the poodle is hiding behind his masters horse on the generals base so hopefully he will be safe from wandering projectiles.

Finally...the dogsled arrives! :D

No commanded shot in the NMA? Do they have something that works the same?

They probably have a bible study group shot, they can throw about religious sermons and your troops get a - POA for falling asleep. Thats why they were eliminated in the NMA. Either that or you get two stands of Poodle Hunters, poor shot only get a + POA if there is a poodle within 3" of your cavalry. Otherwise they just stand about and swap bible stories with your bible study group shot. :P
