Having never used plastic before, I was surprisingly pleased at how easily the plastic pike/shotte figures went together with the Testors glue.

I just nabbed two boxes of the cuirassiers with metal bodies and plastic horses. What do I use to glue riders to horses? Epoxy?

Epoxy or the cyanoacrylate (fancy name for the modelers version of Crazy Glue) glue should do it. I if possible drilling a hole into the bottom of the rider and the top of the horse and inserting a wire that will run from horse into rider would add extra strength. I would recommend taking some coarse sandpaper and roughing up between the riders legs and the horses saddle should also help to give the glue better adhesion.
