I have looked in the Beta testing rules and the main rules but can't find anything about Bayonet armed troops at impact or melee, have i missed something or is there no plus's for troops armed with this.

They cancel POAs.

Go back and read the Impact and Melee PoA tables - "foot with bayonet" are mentioned a few times ...

Hint - look in the right hand column.

Hmmm, I don't see them mentioned in the CT table.

I do think I can discern your intent. On the medium foot, warriors, or dragoons line, I've pencilled it in to read medium foot not armed with bayonets, etc. I'm sure that's what you meant, right?

No no, the rules are as written, I just didn't look at the rules before I posted.

This is not a rules erratum.

MF with bayonet get better POAs vs Mounted than MF shot without (net 0 instead of net -- vs mounted with an impact POA) , but if they lose they are just as likely to crack.

It could be argued that this is a bit harsh, but we don't want the armies from right at the end of the period to dominate tournaments. To avoid this we needed to err on the side of giving every system its pros and cons.

It may well mean that the rules are unsuitable for the War of the Spanish Succession/Great Northern War - but they were never meant to be.
