First, thanks for making a WW1 game.

Two small questions:

1) I understand from the screenshots that one can play either as the Entente or the Central Powers. That is to say, there are only two sides to pick from. Is that correct?

2) Historically Romania and Italy joined the war for the Entente. In CGW, does that mean that no matter how many times I play the game, Romania and/or Italy will join the Entente but never the Central Powers?

Yes, you choose one side and control all nations that are part of that side.

There may be some conditions that affect certain nations joining the war. For example if Russia is knocked out of the war early (which is unlikely to happen though), Romania will no longer join the war. But most of the time nations will joins the war close to the date they did historically.

Just to make things clear, your answer means that Romania can only join the Entente and will never join the Central Powers.
I hope we can mod that

One last tiny question: can we rename/give names to units?
