can't upgrade

The updater failed with the error:

Bad Size for download, retry: 00010303-00010304.001

512k of 3029k (16%)

So download seems to work, but is somewhat cut off.

You should just be able to retry and grab it again. If not then check in your install directory for the .001 file and delete it - the app should only save it out if it downloads correctly, but it is worth checking.

Thanks for the fast reply-

There is no .001 file. Also the app locks up so I need to kill it with the task manager.

That is very odd. Are you behind any kind of unusual (e.g. corporate) firewall? They can have stringent restrictions on downloading files into apps we have found.

Can you let me know what your system specs are too. If we can't find a solution we can get a download link to you as it seems to be just the download not the access to the patch info which is the issue.

no just using "standard firewall". Nothing from corporate etc.

Normally everything works fine. Im using a Targa Laptop, AMD Turion 64 Mobile, 1.8 GHz 1024 MByte Ram, ATI mobility Radeon x700 128 MByte.

So you've been able to update every other time correctly?

Nope, bought the game on Wednesday.
But normal update procedures from other games are no problem.

Can you double-check that your firewall is set up to allow the UPDATER.EXE full access. It could be cutting it off because it thinks something suspicious is going on.

Otherwise we are putting together a single update to take people from install to 1.3.9 and once that is up we can get you a link to try and grab the file with a browser etc.

No Problem. Updater.exe is allowed in the firewall.
