They just needed the extra encouragement of an exploding truck to get them over the hedge...

Easy way to fix would be to edit the map, but.....

have a loaded bren carrier or truck against the bocage and it gets blown then your troops will be on the other side, very risky to try to use this as an exploit, probably more annoying than anything.. unless you can pull up right next to an AT gun and hop the bocage behind him then assault from behind next turn out of harms way

Correct - it's not going to be a significant exploit I don't think. There is a bug in the script which deals with removing units from destroyed vehicles so it will be a global fix.
