Commanders and routing / pursuing BG

I believe that it is too easy for commanders to leave routing and pursuing BG. There are a number of attested instances of commands fleeing the field but FoG does not model them. (I accept that it might be a deliberate design decision on the basis that the flee is part of the battle not represented as it occurs after army break.)

However to me it seems that when a BG with a commander in the front rank breaks or pursues, it is too easy for the commander to move off and do something else. I believe that it should require a CMT for a commander to leave a BG that is routing or pursuing.

That will certainly increase risk for losing commanders.

I 'd favor a one JAP turn delay before they can be committed to the front line of a new BG.

Had a great game where I flank hit an enemy line and successively over several turns went down his line breaking aobut 4 BGs. Some turned some were pinned frontally, but the key part was the only commander he had was an IC who fought in the front rank in all 4 BGs as we went down the line over several turns. It was a glorious Hollywood movie, but it seemed too easy to swap to the next BG.
